Chad Gable vs. Rusev announced for WWE Raw
Chad Gable is set to make his WWE in-ring return after almost a year.
Gable is scheduled to face off against Rusev on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW on June 15, 2026. The upcoming match on RAW is set to mark his first bout since getting unmasked at AAA Noche de Los Grandes.
Gable has not competed under his official ring name for over a year. Gable’s last televised match as his unmasked character took place against AJ Styles on the June 9, 2025, episode of WWE RAW. Although it should also be noted that Gable continued to compete on WWE RAW and the 2026 Royal Rumble PLE as ‘OG’ El Grande Americano.
It has now been officially announced that Gable will compete in his first match since the unmasking on next week’s WWE RAW against Rusev.
Gable started a feud with Rusev after the latter tore Rey Mysterio’s mask and unmasked him on the recent episode of WWE RAW. Gable, who now understands and respects the Lucha culture, made the save and involved himself in a feud against Rusev.

In a new social media upload, Gable addressed his upcoming match against Rusev.
“The acceptance I’ve been given by Everyone upon dropping the mask and returning to [WWE RAW] has been overwhelming and will be forever treasured by me. But if I don’t perform and live up to my own expectations, it’ll all be for nothing.
“This Monday, Rusev is the first stop on a very important path I’ve defined for myself. Now or never. Come along for the ride,” Gable wrote.
