Charlotte Flair & Andrade El Idolo getting married this summer
SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and AEW star Andrade El Idolo are set to tie the knot later this year.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani ahead of WrestleMania 38, Charlotte (real name Ashley Fliehr) revealed that she and Andrade (Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza) are getting married this summer. Their wedding will be taking place in Mexico.
“We have a date,” Charlotte said. “It’s this summer, in Mexico. I have my dress.”
When asked if she’s going to be taking time off from WWE for the wedding, Charlotte said coyly: “Who knows?”
Charlotte and Andrade got engaged on New Year’s at the start of 2020.
At WrestleMania 38 night one this Saturday, Charlotte will be in one of the top matches on the card as she defends her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey.
After being granted his release from WWE in March 2021, Andrade debuted for AEW last June. He defeated Darby Allin in the main event of this week’s episode of Dynamite.
