Charlotte Flair fan Scarlett Guillen passes away after cancer battle
WWE fan Scarlett Guillen, who formed a special bond with Charlotte Flair, has passed away.
A GoFundMe campaign launched by Kimberly Ramirez announced on Sunday that the eight-year-old died following her battle with diffuse midline glioma, a rare and aggressive type of brain cancer.
The GoFundMe reads:
“Our hearts are shattered beyond words. After an incredibly courageous battle with DMG, our beautiful daughter Scarlett has gained her angel wings. She was only eight years old, yet she touched more lives than many people do in a lifetime. Scarlett was the light of every room she entered. She had the funniest personality, a contagious laugh, and a smile that could brighten even the darkest days. She was strong, determined, silly, and full of love. She had a way of making everyone around her laugh. Being Scarlett’s parents has been the greatest honor of our lives. Every moment with her was a gift.”
Flair donated $8,000 to Scarlett’s GoFundMe campaign under her real name, Ashley Flair, to help with funeral and memorial costs for the family. Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton also donated $10,000 to the campaign.
WWE published a short documentary last month about the bond formed between Flair and Scarlett, titled “More than a fan: The story of Charlotte Flair and Scarlett.” It is available below.
