Charlotte Flair replacing Sasha Banks in WWE Raw opening match
WWE has confirmed a change to the lineup for tonight’s Raw.
Due to Sasha Banks being injured and not cleared to compete on the episode, Becky Lynch will instead face Charlotte Flair in the opening match on Raw tonight. Lynch is representing Raw and Charlotte is representing SmackDown, and the winning brand will get the first pick in tonight’s draft.
WWE originally announced Lynch vs. Banks for tonight despite Banks being injured. She hasn’t wrestled since her Hell in a Cell match against Lynch on October 6.
Lynch — the current Raw Women’s Champion — was drafted to Raw with the first overall pick on night one of the draft. Banks was drafted to SmackDown.
Charlotte lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Bayley this past Friday. Charlotte and Bayley are both eligible to be picked by either brand tonight.
The Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado is hosting tonight’s Raw. It’s the second and final night of the WWE Draft.
