Charlotte Flair still hoping to ‘cross over’ into Hollywood
Crossing over from WWE to Hollywood is still a goal for Charlotte Flair.
In 2024, Flair filmed a role in the yet-to-be-released horror movie “You Lose, You Die.” Being part of the project was fun, but Flair has not gotten any other film roles since.
“I’m still waiting [for more roles],” she said in a new interview with Clutch Points. “I hope to one day cross over.”
Playing a superhero or villain would be a dream role for Flair, but she would be open to anything that would allow her to explore her creativity.
“I’m just as drawn to romantic comedies, drama, and anything that lets me stretch creatively,” Flair said. “I’m not ruling out any role. I love exploring new characters and worlds.”
Though WWE is a form of acting, Flair told Clutch Points that the process is much different than acting in film or TV. In wrestling, you play the same character over a long time period without switching things up much. The crowd reacting to you in real time also provides a form of instant gratification that does not exist elsewhere.
“There’s a lot of different cuts and takes [in acting], and you’re not in front of an audience, so you don’t have that instant gratification,” she said. “It’s very different, but I enjoy both in different ways.”
Flair has gotten to adapt her WWE character a bit over the past year, playing a babyface in a tag team with Alexa Bliss. Flair — who has usually been a heel — told Clutch Points that learning to be vulnerable and admitting that she has flaws spurred a lot of personal growth in 2025.
“I think for so long, I focused on just being perfect, when really, it’s your flaws that make you special,” she said. “Open up and being vulnerable, writing the Players’ Tribune piece and being open about that journey, I think I’ve really connected with fans on a level I never had before.”
