CM Punk and Kevin Owens segment, more added to WWE SmackDown lineup
Several additions have been made to the lineup for WWE SmackDown on Friday.
WWE is advertising a segment with Kevin Owens and CM Punk titled “Kevin Owens’ return shakes up SmackDown,” with WWE.com reading:
“The WWE Universe saw an earth-shattering return at SummerSlam as Kevin Owens made his way back after missing more than a year due to a serious neck injury.
The path was long and arduous, but Owens stunned everyone by winning the Fatal 4-Way Match to become the No. 1 Contender to Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk.
How will Punk respond to KO’s return and prepare for his next challenger?”
Also announced for the show, Chelsea Green will return to SmackDown as the interim WWE Women’s Champion.
Previously announced for the show is a singles match between Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill.
Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown is set for the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As of a report on Thursday by WrestleTix, 8,832 tickets have been distributed for the show.
