CM Punk calls out ‘stalkers’ who harass WWE wrestlers

CM Punk is once again calling out “stalkers” for their inappropriate behavior toward WWE wrestlers.

On his Instagram stories, Punk directed a message to people who show up at airports, hotels, and even follow WWE stars. He’s long been critical of this type of behavior from autograph-seekers and other fans — recently telling GQ that dealing with these types of people is one of the hardest parts of his job.

“We unfortunately have to have this conversation again. Do not turn up at airports. Do not show up at hotels. I cannot believe I have to say this. DO NOT FOLLOW PEOPLE,” Punk wrote on Instagram. “You’ve repeatedly been politely told no, respect it. You are not a fan, you are a stalker and will be treated as such. Respect the boundaries. Stop harassing people.”

Inappropriate fan behavior is something that several wrestlers have been speaking out about, including asking fans to respect their privacy by not sending or personally delivering mail to their houses.

At the end of August, there was an incident where Rhea Ripley was swarmed by a group of fans pushing against the door of her Uber.

Members of the WWE Raw roster are in Australia and Japan for house shows this week following Crown Jewel: Perth.

Monday’s episode of Raw in Australia saw Punk win a triple threat match to become the new number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. The status of that title is currently in doubt with champion Seth Rollins likely needing to undergo shoulder surgery.
