CM Punk’s character in Night Patrol appears to be an LAPD officer who might also be a vampire.

A trailer for the film, set to hit theatres on January 16, was released today.

While it had previously been announced that Punk would have a significant role in the horror film, the trailer revealed a few more details. He appears to be one of the movie’s main antagonists.

A description of the film reads, “An LAPD officer must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in.”

The film’s tagline reads, “Defang the police.”

Jermaine Fowler (Coming 2 America) plays the main protagonist, and Ryan Prows (V/H/S 94) directed and co-wrote the script. RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux also star in the film.

The film currently has six reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, four of which are positive. Brian Tallerico of RogerEbert.com wrote: “This is an original, ambitious piece of work that IFC should be able to turn into a buzz generator to start 2026.”
