Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso declare open challenge for WWE SmackDown

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso will be in action on Friday’s WWE SmackDown.

Rhodes posted on X on Thursday that he planned to wrap his week with a trip to SmackDown for the season premiere episode on Friday, tagging Uso’s X account for a response.

Rhodes posted:

This week, a great RAW, a historic NXT…And no better way to close out the week than with a visit for the season premiere of #SmackDown Open challenge… What say you @WWEUsos?

Uso posted:

GahDam YEEET!!! -jey

WWE has yet to officially announce the match or whether Rhodes and Uso’s Tag Team titles will be on the line Friday.

Rhodes & Uso defeated The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest & Finn Balor to win the Tag titles at last Saturday’s Fastlane pay-per-view. A rematch for the titles is currently set for the Monday, October 16 Raw episode.

The return of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, a special appearance from chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, and Pretty Deadly’s Elton Prince & Kit Wilson in tag team action against Butch & Ridge Holland of The Brawling Brutes are already set for the Friday, October 13 SmackDown on Fox season premiere.
