Cody Rhodes set for WWE Raw appearance

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is set to appear on Raw as the build to Crown Jewel: Perth begins.

In the main event of Wrestlepalooza this past weekend, Rhodes defeated Drew McIntyre to remain WWE Champion. It has now been announced that Rhodes will appear on Raw tonight (September 22). WWE hasn’t confirmed what Rhodes will be doing on the show, but he’s likely set for an interaction with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. A face-to-face between the two took place on the WWE post-show after Wrestlepalooza.

Rhodes vs. Rollins is set to take place at Crown Jewel: Perth on October 11. They are the respective top men’s champions on SmackDown and Raw currently. Neither of their belts will be on the line at the PLE, but the winner will become the men’s Crown Jewel Champion for 2025. The ceremonial Crown Jewel titles were first established in 2024 with Rhodes being the men’s winner and Liv Morgan being the women’s winner.

WWE is at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana for tonight’s Wrestlepalooza fallout edition of Raw. No other announcements for the show have been made yet. The episode will stream live on Netflix at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
