Danhausen congratulates New York Knicks following NBA title win

Danhausen

Maybe there’s something to this curse thing after all.

The New York Knicks on Saturday captured their first NBA title since 1973, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 to win the series 4-1. On social media, Danhausen immediately congratulated the team that he had uncursed back in April.

“DANHAUSEN IS THE KING OF NEW YORK!,” he declared. “CONGRATULATIONS @nyknicks THE KINGS OF NEW YORK! UNCURSED!”

WWE also reacted shortly after the Knicks won, simply posting a photo of Danhausen.

Big plans for Danhausen in NYC

Earlier on Saturday, Fightful Select reported that WWE was already discussing plans on how to use Danhausen if the Knicks were successful. Their plans would involve featuring Danhausen heavily ahead of their upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event show on July 18 at Madison Square Garden. One of Fightful’s sources noted that Danhausen would become a “fixture” of the market moving forward if the Knicks emerged victorious.

The good news for WWE keeps coming as with the Game 5 win, they avoid having to go head-to-head with potential NBA competition. Game 6 would have taken place on Tuesday against NXT, while Game 7 would have taken place this coming Friday against SmackDown.
