Dominik Mysterio suffered what appeared to be a deep cut on his head at AAA Rey de Reyes.

Early in Mysterio’s match with El Hijo del Vikingo on the show, Vikingo threw a chair at the AAA Mega Champion’s head. Mysterio went down, clutching his head as the referee immediately checked on him.

Mysterio posted to social media later on Saturday night, showing off the aftermath of the chair shot.

Mysterio went on to defeat Vikingo in the match, which carried a stipulation that if Vikingo lost, he would no longer be able to challenge for the Mega Championship again while Mysterio is champion. If Mysterio had lost, he would have been forced to leave AAA forever. Mini Vikingo helped Mysterio fend off interference from Omos leading to the finish.

Mysterio’s next defense of the Mega Championship has not been announced. However, Americano won the Rey de Reyes final later in the show, earning him a future shot at the title.
