El Paso Chihuahuas Eddie Guerrero Promotion

Fans of the El Paso Chihuahuas minor league baseball team will be able to celebrate Eddie Guerrero later this summer.

The Triple-A affiliate of MLB’s San Diego Padres announced recently that their game against the Albuquerque Isotopes on August 1 will be “WWE Night.”

Fans attending the game will receive an Eddie Guerrero bobblehead, which shows the WWE Hall of Famer standing up inside a lowrider. Giveaways are limited to the first 1,500 fans.

Additionally, there will be a fireworks show after the game.

The team wrote on its website:

“VIVA LA RAZA! Join us for WWE Night as we celebrate one of El Paso’s greatest icons with an exclusive Eddie Guerrero Bobblehead Giveaway. Be one of the first fans through the gates to take home this limited-edition collectible honoring the WWE Hall of Famer and hometown legend. Enjoy a night of baseball, wrestling-themed entertainment, and unforgettable fun as we pay tribute to Eddie’s lasting legacy in the Sun City.”

Eddie Guerrero Day celebrated in El Paso last November

Last November, the city of El Paso celebrated Eddie Guerrero Day on the 20-year anniversary of his passing.

Guerrero’s daughter, Sherilyn, who started training at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling school last year, was in attendance and spoke at the ceremony.

She said:

“El Paso is a catalyst in keeping my father’s name alive and I along with my family have admired witnessing the love and passion the city holds for him and for the Guerreros in general.”
