El Grande Americano attends Mexico vs. England World Cup game
One of AAA’s top stars is at the World Cup.
WWE’s Espanol channel on social media shared footage of Americano, decked out in Mexico World Cup gear, in attendance for Sunday’s match at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City as they take on England.
In another video, they showed Americano with girlfriend Andrea Bazarte, who has done announcing work for AAA in the past.
Americano’s rise to the top in AAA
The former Ludwig Kaiser has become massively popular in AAA, quickly becoming one of its top stars. He and the Original El Grande Americano met at Noche de Los Grandes at the end of May in a mask vs. mask match with the second Americano emerging as the winner. The original unmasked to reveal it was none other than Chad Gable, who has since returned to WWE as a babyface.
Following Noche de Los Grandes, Americano was cutting a promo during a recent episode of AAA on FOX when suddenly a new version of Perros del Mal (Daga, Bronco Nima, Berto, Angel, and Karmen Petrovic) jumped him. On Saturday’s episode, Americano said he would confront the group next week and this time, he wouldn’t be by himself.
