Film on Vince McMahon’s life in the works

A film chronicling the life of Vince McMahon could be making its way to theaters in the near future.

The Hollywood Reporter announced today that a biopic on McMahon is close to landing at Sony’s TriStar Pictures. The film is titled “Pandemonium” and will be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. The two have directed four movies together in the past and are currently involved with the NBC show “This is Us.”

Perhaps most importantly, WWE is involved with the project in some capacity. President of WWE Studios Michael Luisi is attached as one of the film’s producers. The Hollywood Reporter’s article notes that there was hesitation among studios when the script first made the rounds last summer because WWE and McMahon hadn’t signed off on it, but talks were revived in recent weeks after producer Andrew Lazar secured the rights to McMahon’s life story.

The film is sure to focus on WWE and McMahon’s involvement in professional wrestling, though the project is still in the early stages and details are sparse.
