Final World Cup qualifying match set for WWE SmackDown 1000

The full lineup for WWE’s World Cup tournament will be confirmed on tomorrow’s episode of SmackDown.

Rey Mysterio vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for a spot in the tournament had already been made official for this week’s episode, and WWE has announced that Rusev will also face The Miz in a qualifying match.

There will be eight wrestlers in the WWE World Cup, with four coming from Raw and four coming from SmackDown. John Cena, Kurt Angle, Seth Rollins, Jeff Hardy, and Randy Orton are already set for it. A qualifying match between Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler will take place later on Raw tonight.

The World Cup will be held at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 2. WWE is promoting that the tournament is to “determine the best in the world.”

Tomorrow’s SmackDown is the 1,000th episode of the show. Appearances by Evolution (Triple H, Batista, Orton, and Ric Flair) and The Undertaker have also been announced for SmackDown 1000.
