First half hour of WWE SmackDown’s USA Network return airing commercial-free

The first half hour of tonight’s WWE SmackDown will be airing without commercial interruption.

Tonight, SmackDown returns to USA Network for the first time since 2019. A steel cage match with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defending his title against Solo Sikoa is kicking off the episode. WWE has announced that the first 30 minutes of the show will air commercial-free.

Rhodes vs. Sikoa is a rematch from SummerSlam, where Rhodes retained after Roman Reigns returned during the match and confronted Sikoa.

SmackDown closed out its run on Fox last week and is now back on USA Network as part of a five-year deal between WWE and NBCUniversal. The deal also includes four prime time in-ring specials per year that will air live on NBC.

Tonight’s show is taking place from Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
