First hour of Monday’s WWE Raw after Mania to air commercial-free

For the second straight week, WWE Raw will have a commercial-free first hour.

WWE has announced that the first hour of tonight’s post-WrestleMania episode of Raw will be presented without commercial interruption. The show is taking place from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

“Tonight at the Wells Fargo, it’s the Raw after Mania,” Raw general manager Adam Pearce said. “Which means what? Anything and everything can happen. You never know who’s going to show up, and I’m not giving any spoiler alerts. Other than this: the first hour of Monday Night Raw, 8/7c on USA tonight, is commercial-free. And I can promise you this: you’re not gonna want to miss it.”

Last Monday’s WrestleMania go-home edition of Raw also had a commercial-free first hour.

Raw is facing competition from the men’s NCAA March Madness championship game between UConn and Purdue tonight. The game tips off at 9:20 p.m. Eastern time.

No other announcements have been made for tonight’s Raw. It’s the first episode of a new era with Cody Rhodes as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
