First WWE SmackDown Cena tournament matches revealed
WWE has revealed the first SmackDown matches in The Last Time is Now tournament to decide John Cena’s final opponent.
After the tournament kicks off on Raw this coming Monday, next Friday’s SmackDown will feature two tournament bouts. In one, LA Knight will take on a mystery opponent. In the other, The Miz will face Jey Uso.
Nick Aldis drew the names for next week’s matches in a segment on Friday’s episode, opting not to reveal the mystery opponent.
Seven of the first eight participants in the 16-man tournament have now been revealed, but WWE has yet to release a bracket for the event. Rather, the Raw and SmackDown general managers are pulling names from a tumbler to decide the first round competitors in storyline.
The Last Time is Now tournament will culminate in the final match of Cena’s career at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, DC on Saturday, December 13.

- First round: Damian Priest vs. Rusev
