Former NXT Champion officially joins WWE Raw roster
On the Raw after WWE WrestleMania 42 episode, former NXT Champion Ethan Page made a surprise appearance and officially joined the Monday night roster.
Midway through the show, Je’Von Evans was meeting with reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta and Raw GM Adam Pearce in a backstage segment and expressed his intention of going after the title.
Page then emerged and interrupted Evans as Pearce announced him as “Raw’s newest superstar” before making a match between Page and Evans official for later in the episode. Page later won his first main roster match after interference from Rusev, pinning Evans after hitting the Twisted Grin.
After a run in both AEW and ROH, Page joined WWE NXT in May 2024. He is also a former NXT North American Champion and NXT Champion. He last competed at week one of NXT Revenge, losing to Tony D’Angelo in a match for the NXT Championship, raising speculation as to a main roster call-up.
