Former WWE wrestler Ahmed Johnson suffers broken ribs in scary car crash

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ahmed Johnson is doing okay despite recently being involved in a scary looking car accident.

On Facebook, former pro wrestler Reggie Rollins Jr. made a post revealing that Johnson (real name Tony Norris) survived a crash on September 29 where his car was hit by a drunk driver. In the comments, the 62-year-old Johnson assured concerned fans that he’s doing okay despite suffering a few broken ribs.

“When you have the Lord on your side nothing can harm you,” Johnson wrote.

In response to a commenter asking how he’s feeling, Johnson added: “I’m okay cuz thank you just a few broken ribs but I’m good thank you.”

Johnson — who had one of the best physiques in wrestling — was a star for the WWF in the 1990s and into the start of the Attitude Era. His career included a brief reign as Intercontinental Champion, winning the belt from Goldust at King of the Ring 1996.

After departing the WWF in 1998, Johnson had a stint in WCW before retiring in the early 2000s.
