Humberto Carrillo to challenge for US title at WWE Elimination Chamber

After last night's Raw, WWE confirmed that there will be a United States Championship match at Elimination Chamber.

Andrade will defend his US title against Humberto Carrillo at Sunday's PPV. The match was set up by Carrillo & Rey Mysterio defeating Andrade & Angel Garza on Raw last night.

Carrillo pinned Andrade in that tag match. In a post-show interview that WWE uploaded, Carrillo was asked about getting the title shot at Elimination Chamber. Carrillo said teaming with a legend like Mysterio last night gave him the power to handle Sunday's title match.

This will be Andrade's first televised title defense since he returned from his 30-day wellness policy suspension. He returned to the ring as part of the Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match at Super ShowDown last Thursday.

The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is hosting Elimination Chamber. Here's the updated card:

  • Elimination Chamber match: Shayna Baszler vs. Asuka vs. Natalya vs. Ruby Riott vs. Liv Morgan vs. Sarah Logan (winner challenges for Becky Lynch's Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36)
  • Elimination Chamber match: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison defending against The New Day, The Usos, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode, The Lucha House Party, and Heavy Machinery

  • Intercontinental Champion Braun Strowman defending against Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn & Cesaro in a handicap match
  • United States Champion Andrade defending against Humberto Carrillo
