IC title rematch, Seth Rollins segment official for WWE Raw

Another title match has been made official for Monday’s episode of WWE Raw.

WWE has confirmed that Gunther will defend his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz on Raw this Monday (December 18). The match has a stipulation where, if Miz loses, he can’t challenge for the Intercontinental title again while Gunther is champion.

Gunther retained the Intercontinental title against Miz at Survivor Series last month, Since then, Miz has been looking for a rematch. He teamed with DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) on Raw this past Monday in a victory over Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci).

Following the six-man tag bout, Miz confronted Gunther backstage and challenged him to a title rematch. Gunther agreed — but only with the condition that Miz can’t challenge him again if Miz loses.

Gunther has been Intercontinental Champion for more than 550 days. His reign began in June 2022.

It’s also been announced that World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins will address Drew McIntyre on Monday’s Raw. McIntyre is challenging for Rollins’ title on the Day 1 edition of Raw on January 1.

Rollins is coming off a face-to-face confrontation with CM Punk this past Monday. McIntyre defeated Jey Uso on the episode.

Monday’s Raw is taking place from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. A pair of Tag Team title matches are also set for the show. Here’s everything that’s been announced so far:
