Intercontinental title match set for WWE Raw

An Intercontinental title match is set for this week’s episode of Raw.

During Fastlane, it was announced that Finn Balor will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Bobby Lashley on Raw. Balor won the title by defeating Lashley & Lio Rush in a handicap match at Elimination Chamber last month, with Balor pinning Rush to win Lashley’s title.

Balor didn’t have a match at Fastlane. Lashley teamed with Baron Corbin & Drew McIntyre in the main event of the PPV and lost to The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose) in a six-man tag match.

Lashley pinned Balor in a six-man tag on last week’s Raw. There was then a post-match angle where Lashley, Corbin & McIntyre attacked Balor and slammed him onto the steel steps.

Tomorrow’s Raw is taking place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In addition to fallout from Fastlane, WWE is advertising a face-to-face segment with Triple H and Batista for Raw.
