Interpromotional tag team match added to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
An interpromotional tag team match is set for Saturday Night’s Main Event.
During Raw, it was announced that World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Dragon Lee would take on Je’Von Evans and TNA’s Leon Slater this Saturday in Washington, D.C.. The news comes after earlier on Monday it was announced that Slater was pulled from wXw’s 25th Anniversary show this comming weekend as well as Revolution Pro Wrestling’s Uprising 2025 show.
Evans won the Iron Survivor Challenge this past weekend at NXT Deadline, earning himself a NXT Championship match against Oba Femi at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 6. Slater, the current TNA X Division Champion, successfully defended the title against AJ Francis at Final Resolution and also took part in the Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline.
Styles & Lee successfully defended the World Tag Team titles on Raw, defeating The War Raiders.
