Joe Hendry segment, two new matches added to WWE Raw
After costing The Vision the World Tag Team titles last week, Joe Hendry is scheduled for an appearance on WWE Raw tonight.
WWE has announced that Hendry will give a live musical performance on tonight’s show from Atlantic City, New Jersey. Airing live on Netflix, the show has a special start time of 6 p.m. Eastern. The time change is because WWE is pre-taping Friday’s episode of SmackDown tonight due to the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Hendry had been absent for weeks before making his return last Monday. After being taken out in a steel chair attack by Austin Theory, Hendry got revenge by helping The Street Profits defeat Theory & Bron Breakker for the World Tag Team titles. The Vision were then dealt another loss over the weekend with Seth Rollins defeating Breakker in a steel cage match at Night of Champions.
Night of Champions saw Oba Femi and IYO SKY win WWE’s respective King & Queen of the Ring tournaments. Femi will be kicking off Raw tonight, and we’ll also hear from SKY on the show. They’ve each earned World title shots at SummerSlam. SKY is challenging Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship at the PLE. We could find out Femi’s decision tonight.
A couple of grudge matches have also been confirmed for tonight’s Raw with LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso and Rey Mysterio vs. Ethan Page set. Here is the updated lineup:
WWE Raw (Monday, June 29) —
- World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns appears
- LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso
- Rey Mysterio vs. Ethan Page
