John Cena Day declared in Massachusetts

  • Ian Carey

November 10 was John Cena Day.

Following Cena’s final time performing in front of his hometown fans in Boston on Monday night, TD Garden posted to social media that the day was officially declared John Cena Day in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

TD Garden wrote:

“It’s officially John Cena Day in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts! Huge thanks to @MassGovernor for the special recognition.”

The native of West Newbury is down to the final three appearances of his in-ring career. Although he is not advertised to wrestle next week in Madison Square Garden, Bryan Alvarez wrote to his subscribers on X on Monday that Cena is expected to have a match on the show. After that, Cena is advertised for Survivor Series in San Diego on November 29, although it’s not yet clear what he’ll be doing on the show. He’ll then have his retirement match against the winner of The Last Time Is Now tournament at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
