John Cena teases potential match on social media

John Cena is hinting at his next match.
Shortly before Raw began on Monday, Cena posed a question for fans, asking what they thought of another match between himself and AJ Styles. The two feuded with one another back in 2016 and 207, with Styles defeating Cena at Money in the Bank 2016, then later at that year’s SummerSlam.
Cena was last seen at Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza, quickly losing to Brock Lesnar who won in dominant fashion. Much of this year has seen Cena face some of the top rivals of his past, including Randy Orton and CM Punk.
AJ Styles, meanwhile, has been embroiled in a feud with El Grande Americano, who cost him the Intercontinental title several weeks ago. Two new masked men were formally introduced on Raw as Los Americanos, who have been seen helping Americano in his matches.
The record-breaking seventeen time world champion only has only five dates left before retiring from in-ring competition. Three of those dates are confirmed: Crown Jewel on October 11 in Perth, Australia, Survivor Series on November 29 in San Diego, and his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington DC.
