Kairi Sane receives stitches for cut suffered on WWE Raw
Kairi Sane needed several stitches after getting busted open in a rough landing on WWE Raw last night.
Sane & IYO SKY lost to Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn in a Women’s Tag Team title number one contender’s match on last night’s show. There was a spot near the end of the match where Sane went to deliver a flying elbow to the outside. Dawn moved Bianca Belair into the way, but Sane landed face-first onto the announce table.
Sane still continued with a planned spot where she was given a forearm strike by Jade Cargill. After the match, Sane & SKY had a confrontation in the ring with champions Belair & Cargill.
Signaling that she was okay, Sane shared a picture of her bloody eye to social media with a thumbs up emoji. She received stitches for the cut and joked that she needed an eye patch. SKY credited Sane for her toughness and promised that — despite losing last night — Damage CTRL will become Women’s Tag Team Champions soon.
The Women’s Tag Team titles changed hands over the weekend when Belair & Cargill defeated Fyre & Dawn at Bash in Berlin. Fyre & Dawn are getting their rematch on Raw next week.
