Kevin Nash questions WWE creatives’ habit of blaming talent for not getting pushed
Kevin Nash recently addressed Triple H’s comments from the WWE SummerSlam media scrum and the creatives’ habit of blaming talent for not getting pushed.
At WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One post-show press conference, Triple H openly blamed wrestlers for not receiving a push in the promotion. Triple H claimed that the talent needs to get themselves over like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and others to receive a similar push.
Not agreeing with the comments and the creative department’s habit of blaming talent for not receiving a push, Nash opened up on his Kliq This podcast.
“Why does creative always blame talent for not getting a push instead of taking some accountability? I saw the scrum with [Triple] H Saturday. I saw Dom [Dominik Mysterio] tweet him, and Bron [Breakker] seemed to be in the same boat,” he said.
Nash claimed that the creative should take accountability instead of blaming talent when not pushing them.
“You also said something in the pre-show that was interesting about Breakker, or Steiner, Breakker, Steiner, whatever we call him here, being left out of the show, which was a good point too. And you were also very vocal about his not being pushed. So why does creative always blame talent for not getting a push instead of taking some accountability?” Nash added.
“You know, and I listened to Paul’s comments on that, and like he said, it’s like nobody’s anointed. Nobody’s, like, if you get over to the point where they have to push you,” Nash said. “But that doesn’t mean that when you get that spot, you can’t [expletive] the bed and then make creative look bad in giving you that spot. So there’s a lot of intangibles, you know, if you’re coming off an injury.”
Breakker is currently set to begin a feud with Oba Femi on WWE RAW, while Dominik Mysterio is set to defend his AAA Mega title against El Grande Americano at Triplemania 34.
