Kevin Owens hints at five-year WWE contract extension

Any questions about Kevin Owens’ WWE contract status appear to have been answered.

In a tweet on Friday morning, Owens hinted that he’s signed a five-year contract extension with WWE. Owens promoted Girl Scout cookies that his daughter is selling and promised to keep wrestling for “4 years, 11 months and 22 days more” if fans buy them.

Dave Meltzer reported last October that, while there were a lot of stories going around about Owens’ contract, multiple people in wrestling were of the belief that he had already re-signed with WWE but it was being kept quiet.

Owens said in August 2024 that he had less than six months remaining on his WWE deal.

The feud between Owens and Cody Rhodes culminated at the Royal Rumble last weekend with Rhodes retaining his Undisputed WWE Championship in a ladder match. Following the Rumble, there was an angle where Owens attacked Sami Zayn on Raw and laid him out with a package piledriver. Owens had wanted Zayn to help him defeat Rhodes at Saturday’s PLE, but Zayn decided to stay neutral instead.
