Kevin Owens shares WWE Performance Center workout video

Kevin Owens

A newly shared video from Kevin Owens is sure to have fans speculating about when he’ll be able to return to the ring.

The injured WWE star posted a brief video on Friday showing him working out at the Performance Center. Owens is not training in the ring or involved in any kind of wrestling-related physicality, but the video shows him running and doing some cardio work.

Owens underwent neck surgery this July after being forced out of action in the lead-up to WrestleMania 41, where he had been scheduled to face Randy Orton. The most recent match for Owens was a victory over Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber in March.

In August, Owens appeared at a NASCAR event and spoke about his surgery. He said he was hoping to return to the ring at some point in the next year but did not have any definitive timeline, with that set to be determined by how his bones heal from the fusion.

“It was very stressful going into it because we weren’t really sure how severe the fusion was going to be, how many levels, all this stuff. Thankfully, it ended up being only one level which was the best case scenario for something like this,” Owens said.

“Fingers crossed, I get to come back to wrestling in the next year. I really don’t know. My goal is to come back, so hopefully that happens.”
