NXT’s Kyle O’Reilly will no longer be wrestling at EVOLVE’s shows in New York this weekend.

EVOLVE announced via Twitter today that O’Reilly won’t be able to make his scheduled matches at EVOLVE 129 and 130: “We are sorry to inform you that Kyle O’Reilly will not be able to compete at EVOLVE this weekend. We were just given the news. We will have more information and updated cards later today or tomorrow. Thank you for understanding.”

O’Reilly had been set to team with Roderick Strong against JD Drake & Anthony Henry at EVOLVE 129 in Queens, New York this Saturday. O’Reilly vs. Josh Briggs was scheduled for EVOLVE 130 in Brooklyn on Sunday.

O’Reilly tweeted on June 14 that he wasn’t going to be able to appear at NXT UK’s television tapings at Download Festival that weekend because his back was still hurt from the Tag Team title ladder match at NXT TakeOver XXV: “The medical man told me my back is still hurt so unfortunately I won’t be able to attend @DownloadFest this year. Im sorry to all the great UK fans, believe me I’m gutted to be missing @Tool but at least now @rikbugez has an actual chance of winning the air guitar contest.”

It was announced last week that Bobby Fish also won’t be wrestling at EVOLVE 129 and 130 but will still be appearing and doing meet and greets.
