Lacey Evans says Becky Lynch ‘no sold’ and ‘cried’ during WWE feud
Macey Estrella, formerly Lacey Evans in WWE, spent time Wednesday responding on social media to Becky Lynch’s comments regarding their 2019 storyline.
Lynch spoke about her 2019 feud with Evans during an appearance alongside Seth Rollins on comedian Bert Kreischer’s podcast released this week, saying it was “terrible” to go from main eventing the 2019 WrestleMania immediately into a feud with Evans, who joined the main roster just months earlier and had not wrestled on Raw or SmackDown to that point.
Lynch said:
“I start working with Lacey Evans right out the gate. God bless her, but she wasn’t, you know… For me to go from the main event of WrestleMania to somebody who hadn’t done anything was terrible.”
Evans responded with a series of nine posts on X accusing Lynch of crying and no-selling during the storyline, and mocking Lynch’s path to WWE from the independent wrestling scene.
Evans responded:
Dont hate the player. Hate the game. the only person who *shoot cried more than you was the baby I had on my hip while taking all the opportunities. if/when I come back…..you will STILL do nothing but gently shake my hand and say “how cute my little family is” backstage.
And responded:
And get him crying again too?!
And responded:
I legit learned that move in 2 mins. Between homeschooling my kid and making my husbands plate. Something #bustedItOutOnTheEndiesBecky could never do.
And responded:
Can you imagine the move set had I busted it out for years on the indies?
And responded:
a girl just doing her job.
And responded:
I tried. She cried for 2 hours…then no sold.
And responded:
Over 20 years grinding…..and this is the flip? Try again Michael.
And responded:
I’m a limitless lady sweetheart. I can do both at the same time and still get in the kitchen in time to make thankgiving dinner from scratch.
Evans left WWE in 2023 after a seven-year run between NXT and the main roster.
