Lex Luger shares positive update amid mobility recovery
This holiday season, Lex Luger was able to do something that he hasn’t been able to do in approximately 20 years.
Luger shared a picture on Tuesday morning showing himself standing on a step ladder and trimming his Christmas tree. He’s been working with Diamond Dallas Page to improve his mobility, with Luger now able to do more tasks on his own than he could previously. Luger has used a wheelchair to get around since suffering a spinal stroke in 2007.

“A picture is worth a thousand words!! Trimming our tree,” Luger tweeted. “Haven’t been able to do this for almost 2 decades. Thanks to my good friend @RealDDP @DDPYoga. Thank you Jesus!!!”
The 67-year-old Luger (Larry Pfohl) noted that his new wife, who he married earlier this year, is someone who likes to start celebrating Christmas early.
“My beautiful wife starts celebrating early for sure,” he responded to a fan.
A star for WCW and WWE during his career, Luger was inducted into the Hall of Fame this April during WrestleMania 41 weekend. DDP helped induct him, with Luger able to stand up from his wheelchair on his own to deliver the induction speech.
DDP has documented Luger’s mobility recovery with videos on his YouTube channel. The most recent update video was posted in August:
