Liv Morgan ‘doing well’ after WWE Raw injury scare

Liv Morgan is “doing well” after an injury scare that took place on the road to WWE WrestleMania 42.

During a Wednesday appearance on ESPN First Take, Morgan still had noticeable bruising and swelling on her face from the injury she suffered on the April 6 episode of Raw. She and Roxanne Perez needed medical attention after their heads accidentally smashed into each other during a blindside attack by Stephanie Vaquer. Morgan sounds ready for WrestleMania, though, as she prepares to challenge Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship.

“I’m doing so much better than I’m looking. Thank you for asking,” Morgan responded when First Take asked how she’s feeling. “I think that people that accuse wrestling of being fake are ill-informed. You cannot fake this bruising, you cannot fake this swelling. But I’m doing well. And Stephanie Vaquer is so lucky that I’m still pretty [laughs].”

The injury looked and sounded scary, but Morgan was able to appear at an NBA game just a few days after it happened. She told First Take that she plans to get her revenge by defeating Vaquer on Saturday.

“I feel like this is 11 years in the making for me. I know I’ve earned this opportunity, so this is my favorite [WrestleMania] already,” Morgan said. “My whole entire family will be in attendance. But winning will cement this as the greatest WrestleMania of all time, for me personally at least.”

Morgan was set up for this title shot by winning the 2026 women’s Royal Rumble match. Ahead of WrestleMania, she’s released a new song/music video titled “Trouble.”
