Main roster wrestler appears at NXT TV tapings
Tyler Breeze made an appearance at tonight’s NXT tapings at Full Sail University.
It was announced early on that a mystery opponent would challenge Ricochet later in the evening for the NXT North American title. That mystery opponent ended up being Breeze. Ricochet ended up retaining the title successfully.
This isn’t the first time that Breeze has popped up in NXT this year. Breeze worked a number of NXT house shows in September, facing the likes of Ricochet, Dan Matha and Marcel Barthel. He also did a tour in July and a one-off in May, also facing Barthel.
Breeze was part of the original NXT roster when the brand became a developmental territory in 2012. Originally known as Mike Dalton, he transitioned to the Breeze character in 2013 and competed in high profile matches before being called up in 2015.
His current tag team partner, Fandango, has been sidelined with a torn labrum since July and is expected to be out around six months.
