Matt Hardy talks Sheamus potentially going to AEW: “It’s [All Elite] got a huge bloated roster that doesn’t use everybody”

Matt Hardy vs Sheamus WWE RAW

TNA Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy recently discussed Sheamus leaving WWE and where the Irish star could potentially end up next. Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Hardy suggested that AEW’s roster might be too bloated for someone like Sheamus to head over at this point in time.

“I mean, I think it all depends on timing and place. So for instance, at AEW, could they use them? I don’t know. AEW has a ton of former WWE talent. It has a ton of wrestlers, but on top of that, a ton of former WWE talent” Hardy began.

It’s [AEW] got a huge bloated roster that doesn’t use everybody. Could he add beneficial equity to AEW? I mean, he probably could. It depends on how they’re going to feature him. I don’t know how he would feel about he is featured, maybe it’s real good, but not something he’s happy with. Who knows? AEW is kind of a roll of the dice.

Could Sheamus go to TNA?

Hardy would also suggest that TNA might be a better destination for the former WWE Champion, but also pointing to the recent budget cuts the company has gone through:

“With TNA, I mean, it is a place where he could work, but obviously we’re still…it’s budgeted. Obviously, you know, we’ve (Hardy and Jon Alba) talked about the budget. They [TNA] have a budget that they have to stick very strictly to. I think if you’re willing to come do TNA, you could still be in a great spot and you could be highlighted on the show, and you could help give other talents rub.
