Maxxine Dupri names WWE NXT, TNA opponents she wants to face

As WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Maxxine Dupri would love to defend her title in NXT and TNA.

Dupri became the new champ last month by defeating Becky Lynch on WWE Raw at Madison Square Garden. While speaking with the Battleground Podcast, Dupri was asked about potentially taking her title to NXT, Lucha Libre AAA, or TNA Wrestling. Dupri named NXT’s Tatum Paxley and TNA’s Lei Ying Lee & Indi Hartwell as names she would like to wrestle.

“You know, I would love to face Tatum Paxley in NXT,” Dupri said. “We actually got signed together in Las Vegas. We came up together, had different paths. I’ve seen how hard she has worked for her moment. We saw her get to have her moment for a second there and shine with that NXT championship. And I would love to go toe-to-toe with her. I know that it would be extremely challenging. She’s insanely athletic, very talented. And she’s someone I would love to face.

“But I also would love to go to TNA. We have Xia Li [Lei Ying Lee] who is the new champion. We have Indi Hartwell who I adore. There’s so much talent there that I would just love, love to go over there and dip my toe in the pool of possibility.”

Lee and Hartwell were both previously with WWE and joined TNA after their releases. With the partnership that exists between the promotions, Lee won the TNA Knockouts World Championship at NXT Gold Rush this November in a triple threat match that included Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace.

Also at Gold Rush, Paxley lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Jacy Jayne.
