Mia Yim to make NXT house show debut this weekend
After signing with WWE, Mia Yim is scheduled to make her NXT house show debut this weekend.
WWE announced today that Yim will be wrestling at this Saturday’s NXT show in Fort Pierce, Florida. Further details about the match Yim will be debuting in haven’t been revealed.
Yim lost to Shayna Baszler in the second round of the 2017 Mae Young Classic and returned for this year’s tournament. She defeated Allysin Kay (who formerly wrestled for Impact Wrestling as Sienna) in the first round, and their match aired as the main event of last week’s episode. Yim received “Please sign Mia” chants from the crowd later in the tournament.
The Yim vs. Kay bout was a matchup of former Knockouts Champions. Yim held the title once while wrestling as Jade for Impact Wrestling.
Yim signing with WWE was confirmed after she appeared in a video that the company uploaded of members of the NXT roster working out at the Performance Center last week.
