MJF comments on John Cena vs. Logan Paul match during WWE Clash in Paris
MJF has thrown another barb at Hangman Page.
During the John Cena vs. Logan Paul match at Clash in Paris on Sunday, Paul took out Cena with Hangman Page’s buckshot lariat, a move he’s used a few times in WWE. This time around, MJF took the time to react to the spot on social media.
“Wayyyyyyyyy better than the crooked cowboys,” he commented.
The rivalry between Hangman Page and MJF has heated up over the summer, culminating with MJF challenging Page for the AEW World Championship at All In. He was unsuccessful, but did manage to keep his All In title shot contract meaning he is still eligible to cash his contract for a future World title match. Tony Khan, however, recently made it clear that any cash-in would need to take place at least a week prior, eliminating the surprise element.
In a promo following Forbidden Door, MJF said he regretted not lighting Mark Briscoe on fire and blamed Briscoe for his loss. He said that once he got through with Briscoe, he would be going after Hangman and the AEW World title once again.
