The Motor City Machine Guns are teasing what might come next following their WWE exits.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin were among the WWE roster cuts revealed in April 2026. On Thursday, the team released a video on their official YouTube channel.

In the video, Shelley appears to help Sabin through the five stages of grief, although it is never specifically stated that Sabin is reacting to his WWE release.

Later, Shelley and Sabin open a package containing what they claim to be several contract offers from wrestling promotions. They go through offers seemingly from companies such as FMW, CyberFight, WAR (Wrestle and Romance), IWA Mid-South, and more before discovering a final offer at the bottom of the package that gets Sabin excited.

Shelley then tells Sabin that he has reached the fifth stage of grief, acceptance. The video never reveals which promotion sent the final contract offer.

It was first reported in September 2024 that Shelley and Sabin had signed with WWE. They quickly went on to win the WWE Tag Team titles on the October 25 edition of SmackDown that year.

In late April, Fightful Select reported that the Motor City Machine Guns are expected to eventually sign with AEW.

Sabin and Shelley’s video is available below.
