Mustafa Ali moving to WWE Raw roster

While not yet officially announced, WWE has moved a wrestler from SmackDown over to the Raw roster.

PWInsider reported today that Mustafa Ali “has been quietly shifted to the Raw brand.” That has also been confirmed by our Dave Meltzer.

Ali has been kept off WWE television so far in 2020, and it’s been speculated that he would be revealed as the hacker who has been appearing on SmackDown. When he was last on TV, Ali was teaming with Shorty G (Chad Gable).

Ali had been on SmackDown since being called up from 205 Live in December 2018. He made his WWE debut as an entrant in the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016.

WWE’s most recent roster move prior to this was AJ Styles being traded to SmackDown for “future considerations” last month. Styles became Intercontinental Champion by defeating Daniel Bryan in the finals of WWE’s Intercontinental title tournament on SmackDown last Friday.
