Myles Borne reveals how he started dating Stephanie Vaquer
Myles Borne opened up on the story of how he and Vaquer started dating, and who made the first move.
In an interview with Denise Salcedo, Borne revealed the first time they saw each other, they felt an instant connection but he was shy to approach her. He would try to build up the courage to talk to her but ended up awkwardly exiting the room or walking in the opposite direction.
“You know, honestly, when we first saw each other, we were like, okay, we noticed. And then, for the first couple of weeks, we knew we liked each other, but I would try to build up the courage to talk to her. And as soon as we cross path, I go the opposite direction. I promise every time. And she noticed it. And I remember one time we were backstage and she was I was coming in through one door to go to catering and she was coming through another door and as we intercepted path I turned back around and walked out. I didn’t even eat. I said, “Nope, I’m not eating now. I’m just going to get be hungry” ’cause I, you know, I was still trying to figure out how what I want to say to her.”
Borne said that Vaquer took the first step and messaged him for a dinner together. He also added that he takes note of fans wondering how they paired up and jokingly cited he ‘likes to win in every aspect of life.’
“Yeah, eventually she gave me no choice. She messaged me and she said, “Hey, let’s hang out. Let’s go have dinner.” And you know, we did. That’s what I was like, okay, now I have no choice. I have to just build up the courage, talk to her. And it was great. It was like the connection from the first day, like it, she’s just, she’s genuinely amazing person, and I’m lucky, you know. So, yeah. All the guys out there who are so mad, hey, I get it. I get it. But like I said, I want to win in every aspect in life and that’s one of the aspects.”
Borne signed with WWE in 2022 and trained at the Performance Center. In June that year he made his NXT debut. In February 2026, he defeated Ethan Page to win the NXT North American Championship.
