Naomi not medically cleared for WWE Raw
The Women’s World Champion is not medically cleared.
Just hours before Monday’s episode of Raw, where she was scheduled to defend her title against IYO Sky, WWE announced that Naomi is off the show.
“BREAKING NEWS: Naomi is not medically cleared to compete and therefore her scheduled match against Iyo Sky will not take place tonight on Monday Night Raw. Tune into tonight for continuing coverage on this developing story.”
No further details were given. WWE had promoted the match on social media as recently as yesterday, and Adam Pearce also mentioned it while running down the card for the show that afternoon. Naomi last wrestled at SummerSlam night two on August 3, retaining her title over Sky and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat match.
Additionally, the Becky Lynch vs. Maxine Dupri match scheduled for tonight is now listed as being for the Intercontinental Championship on WWE.com. A new match was also added, with AJ Styles and Dragon Lee teaming up to take on Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano.
Tonight’s episode of Raw will take place at The Videotron Center (Centre Vidéotron) in Quebec City, Quebec.
