Neville returns to action at WWE SmackDown tapings

For at least the moment, the WWE roster is closer to getting back at full strength.

Neville made his return to action on Tuesday in a dark match against Bo Dallas at the SmackDown tapings in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The former NXT champion had been out of action since March after fracturing his ankle in a match against Chris Jericho. It was a freak accident as the normally graceful acrobat fractured it on a failed baseball slide.

His return comes at a good time with the WWE draft happening on the first regularly live edition of SmackDown next Tuesday. And he should be one of the roster members that benefits most from the newfound need for depth.

With his return to action, it would seem likely that Neville would be selected in the draft.

After starting out in the United Kingdom, Neville had a lengthy run with Dragon Gate in Japan from 2007-2012 before signing with WWE. He made his debut on the main roster in 2015 after a successful stint in NXT where he had a nearly 10 month reign as champion.
