New match added to AAA Triplemania XXXIII
A battle royal is set for Triplemania.
Through WWE’s preview of the show on their website, it was announced that the Copa Bardahl would be taking place on Saturday in Mexico City. Participants for the match have yet to be revealed.
“In the Copa Bardahl (Bardahl Cup), participants enter the match at timed intervals, similar to a Royal Rumble Match,” WWE explained on their website. “Eliminations occur via pinfall. The last remaining competitor wins the Copa Bardahl trophy.”
The past few years have seen AAA hold a Copa Bardahl battle royal at Triplemania, with last year’s taking place at the third event in Mexico City. Octagon Jr. emerged as the winner, last eliminating Zumbido.
AAA Triplemania XXXIII (Saturday, August 16):
- Four-way match for AAA Mega title: El Hijo del Vikingo defends against Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano
- Mixed tag team match: The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Raquel Rodriguez) vs. Mr. Iguana, Nino Hamburgeresa, and Lola Vice
- Street fight for AAA Tag Team titles: Los Garza vs. Pagano & Psycho Clown
- AAA Latin American title: El Mesias defends against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
- Triple Threat match for AAA Reina de Reinas title: Lady Flammer defends against Faby Apache and Natalya
- Copa Bardahl battle royal
- Konnan to be inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame by Rey Mysterio
