New top Tag Team title contenders to be crowned on next WWE SmackDown
New number one contenders to the Tag Team Championship will be crowned on the August 16 WWE SmackDown.
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) will face DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) next week in the finals of a tournament to crown new number one contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championship held by The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga & Jacob Fatu.
The four-team tournament kicked off on this week’s SmackDown, with the Profits defeating A-Town Down Under, and DIY defeating Pretty Deadly to advance to next week’s finals.
A celebration for new WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax has also been announced for next week’s SmackDown, with the ceremony hosted by Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton.
Kevin Owens vs. Grayson Waller, plus Naomi vs. Blair Davenport are also booked for the Friday, August 16 WWE SmackDown episode.
