New York City street fight added to WWE NXT Roadblock

A stipulation match is the latest addition to the card for WWE NXT’s Roadblock special.

Rivals Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page will face off in a New York City street fight when Roadblock takes place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden next Tuesday (March 11). The match was announced by NXT General Manager Ava in a video that WWE posted this afternoon.

Page defeated Evans in their match last month at Vengeance Day. In storyline, Evans had to sign a liability waiver to compete that night after having his jaw injured and teeth damaged by Page. There was a segment in December where Page wrapped a steel chair around Evans’ neck and stomped on it, causing Evans to bleed from the mouth.

Their feud has continued since then with Evans & Ricky Saints defeating Page & Wes Lee in the main event of NXT last week. Saints pinned Lee after Evans and Page brawled through the crowd and out of the arena.

Roadblock is airing live on The CW next Tuesday as a special episode of NXT. Here is what has been announced for the show so far:

  • Winner-take-all champion vs. champion match: NXT Women’s Champion Giulia vs. NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer
  • NXT Champion Oba Femi defends against Moose
  • TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz defend against Nathan Frazer & Axiom
  • New York City street fight: Je’Von Evans vs. Ethan Page
