NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo, wife Isabella welcome first child
Ahead of tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, the brand’s champion Tony D’Angelo had some happy non-wrestling news to share.
D’Angelo (real name Joseph Ariola) announced that he and his wife Isabella have welcomed their first child into the world. The baby is a boy named Vincenzo James Ariola.
“Vincenzo James Ariola,” D’Angelo wrote on social media. “My little boy.”
D’Angelo and Borini both attended the University at Buffalo and were athletes there, with D’Angelo on the wrestling team and Borini playing soccer and participating in track and field. The couple got married in 2024 but have been together for approximately a decade. D’Angelo joined WWE in 2021, while Borini works outside of the wrestling industry.
Following Joe Hendry as NXT Champion, D’Angelo is now three months into his reign. He’s coming off a defense over Naraku at Great American Bash 2026.
Tonight’s NXT episode is set to be headlined by Kendal Grey, the new champion of NXT’s women’s division, defending her title against Nattie. Both Grey and Nattie are among those who have already commented on D’Angelo’s Instagram post congratulating him on the birth of his son.
